A Celebratory Savor: Passing the Certified Sommelier Exam
I’m thrilled to share that I successfully passed my certified sommelier exam today! This achievement deserved a special toast, so I decided to celebrate with an exquisite bottle of 1997 Hospices de Beaune.
The wine was nothing short of remarkable, offering complex notes of dried apricot, freshly toasted bread, and buttery honey biscuits. Despite its age, it still possessed a vibrant acidity that danced on the palate, complemented by delightful oxidative and nutty undertones.
Sharing this bottle with fellow wine enthusiasts made the moment even more memorable. It was not just a celebration of personal success, but of camaraderie and appreciation for the world of wine. Here’s to many more delightful tastings and shared experiences in the future!
