The Quest for Weihenstephaner & Schofferhofer Hefeweizen in Manitoba
As a devoted fan of international beers, I often find myself frustrated by the limited selection available in Manitoba. While it’s true that Liquor Mart carries a variety of imported brews, including Palaner and other German offerings, there are notable exclusions that leave me yearning for more — specifically, Weihenstephaner and Schofferhofer Hefeweizen.
Unfortunately, despite my attempts to explore alternatives, these delightful wheat beers remain elusive. The situation is further complicated by Canada’s restrictive online ordering regulations, which prevent me from purchasing these brews from provinces like Ontario or Alberta, where they are readily available.
This leads me to reach out to fellow Manitoba residents. If you share a passion for these particular beers, I would love to hear your thoughts. Have you discovered any hidden gems or workarounds that might help us procure Weihenstephaner and Schofferhofer Hefeweizen?
Additionally, do you think there’s a chance Liquor Mart could expand their selection to include these popular German choices? Your insights and suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I navigate the often frustrating landscape of beer availability in our province. Cheers to hoping for more options!
