The Quest for Weihenstephaner & Schofferhofer Hefeweizen in Manitoba
As a craft beer enthusiast residing in Manitoba, I find myself facing a frustrating challenge. While Liquor Mart offers a commendable selection of imported beers, including the likes of Paulaner and various German brews, there’s a noticeable absence: the beloved Weihenstephaner and Schofferhofer Hefeweizen.
What makes this situation even more exasperating are the strict online ordering regulations in Canada. Despite my wish to conveniently order these delightful wheat beers from Ontario or Alberta, where they are readily available, the current laws simply do not allow it.
This predicament leads me to seek alternatives. If there are fellow Manitobans out there facing the same struggle, I’m curious: do you have any tips or strategies for sourcing these particular beers? And for those who frequent Liquor Mart, do you think they would consider expanding their offerings to include Weihenstephaner and Schofferhofer?
