Exploring the Proper Use of Mini Kegs: A Beginner’s Guide
I recently received a delightful surprise from my wife—a 5-liter mini keg of La Chouffe for Father’s Day! Although I’m not an avid beer drinker, La Chouffe holds a special place in my heart, not only for its remarkable flavor but also for its sentimental value.
As I dove into this new experience with the mini keg, I found myself with a few questions, particularly regarding the correct way to operate it. As a first-time user, I noticed two plastic components: a red tap and a red switch. Now, I’m curious—once I finish pouring my drink, should I push the red tap back in and return the red switch to its original position to help maintain the beer’s freshness? I’ve noticed that the tap is easy to push back, but the switch does require a bit more effort.
Given that I want to do everything possible to extend the lifespan of this delicious brew, which is said to remain fresh for about a month, I searched for guidance on the keg itself and the La Chouffe website. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any instructions to clarify the proper steps to take after usage.
If you have any insights or experience with mini kegs, I would greatly appreciate your advice. It would help ensure I enjoy my La Chouffe as long as possible! Thank you!
