Discovering Weihenstephaner & Schofferhofer Hefeweizen in Manitoba: A Quest for Quality Beer

As a beer enthusiast in Manitoba, I’ve always cherished the variety of import beers available at Liquor Mart, including notable selections from brands like Paulaner. However, there’s been a longstanding frustration for me and many other beer lovers in the region: the absence of Weihenstephaner and Schofferhofer Hefeweizen on the shelves.

Despite my appreciation for the wide range of international brews offered here, it’s disappointing to see these exceptional German wheat beers missing from the line-up. Complicating matters is Canada’s stringent online ordering regulations, which unfortunately prevent me from purchasing these favorites from provinces like Ontario and Alberta—where they are readily available.
