The Search for Weihenstephaner and Schofferhofer Hefeweizen in Manitoba: A Call to Local Beer Lovers
As a craft beer enthusiast, there’s nothing more frustrating than discovering that your favorite brews aren’t available where you live. For those of us in Manitoba, the challenge of sourcing certain specialty beers can be particularly exasperating. While Liquor Mart does boast a respectable selection of imported beers—including well-known brands like Paulaner—there’s a glaring omission that many of us have noticed: Weihenstephaner and Schofferhofer Hefeweizen.
Despite their popularity and availability in other provinces such as Ontario and Alberta, current Canadian online ordering regulations make it nearly impossible for us to have these delicious German wheat beers shipped to us. It leaves many of us wondering if there’s an alternative solution.
So, to my fellow Manitobans, I turn to you for assistance. Have any of you discovered creative ways to obtain these elusive brews? More importantly, do you think it’s worth reaching out to Liquor Mart to inquire about expanding their inventory? Your insights or suggestions could be invaluable.
Let’s rally together as a community of beer lovers to find a way to enjoy Weihenstephaner and Schofferhofer Hefeweizen right here in Manitoba! Any tips or experiences you can share would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
