As someone who has cherished the simple pleasure of a good beer for many years, I’ve recently found myself at a crossroads. Although I have always maintained a healthy relationship with alcohol, I now face the reality that my body seems to be sending a different message.

It’s a familiar scenario: after a long day, my mind yearns for that refreshing taste of beer, but the aftereffects have increasingly become a concern. I’ve noticed that even moderate consumption—a couple of beers—can leave me grappling with a headache and a sense of sluggishness that lingers long after the evening ends. This shift has prompted a deeper reflection on what it means to enjoy social activities that have always revolved around beer.

What I find particularly challenging is the social component that accompanies beer drinking. Gathering with friends at a local brewery and sharing a round has always been one of life’s joys.
