He described the brew as liquid gold, boasting about the brewery’s accolades like a GABF gold medal and emphasizing the care taken in selecting the barrels. Intrigued by all the hype, it wasn’t long before I found myself with this luxurious bottle in hand.

Once home, I followed the ritual: chilling it to perfection, using an appropriate glass, and taking the time to savor each sip. As I indulged, I was met with a flavor reminiscent of rich chocolate milk, tinged with a bourbon finish. Yes, it was enjoyable, but upon reflection, it became evident that the experience did not justify the hefty price tag. In fact, for nearly the same cost, I could have bought a respectable bottle of bourbon – a beverage with a well-established reputation for delivering complex flavors.
