Sourcing Weihenstephaner and Schofferhofer Hefeweizen in Manitoba: A Plea for Assistance
As a beer enthusiast residing in Manitoba, I’ve found myself growing increasingly frustrated with the limitations on certain imported beers in our local market. While it’s true that Liquor Mart offers an impressive selection of international brews, including well-known brands like Paulaner from Germany, two beloved options are disappointingly missing from their shelves: Weihenstephaner and Schofferhofer Hefeweizen.
This absence is particularly frustrating given the Canadian regulations governing online alcohol sales. Unfortunately, due to these restrictions, I can’t simply order these beers from provinces like Ontario or Alberta, where they are readily available in their local beer vendors.
I’m reaching out to fellow Manitobans for advice or assistance. Has anyone successfully sourced Weihenstephaner or Schofferhofer in our province, or perhaps even found a way to make these sought-after beers available through Liquor Mart? Your insights would be greatly appreciated as I seek to enjoy these exceptional German wheat beers. Thank you for any help you can provide!
