How can my work better diversify the beer selection?

Expanding Our Beer Menu: How to Cater to Every Palate

Hello, beer enthusiasts and connoisseurs!

At our bar, which also functions as a cozy half-restaurant, we are actively striving to enhance our beer selection to better suit the diverse tastes of our patrons. Currently, we offer a robust lineup of approximately 70 canned options, although we are eyeing the possibility of adding draft beers in the future.

Our existing inventory includes:
26 local craft beers
20 from other craft breweries
3 non-alcoholic options from Athletic Brewing
24 domestics, which encompass a variety of seltzers and popular brands like White Claw and Sunboy

In terms of styles, our selection is as follows:
9 IPAs
2 Pale Ales
4 Blonde Ales (including 3 variants infused with fruit)
2 Mexican Lagers
1 Brown Ale
3 Stouts
2 Porters
4 Ciders
12 Sours
2 Belgian styles (one Saison and one Tripel)
2 Pilsners

While our sours tend to fly off the shelves, I can’t shake the feeling that our offerings lean a bit heavily on IPAs. We want to ensure we’re catering not only to hop lovers but also to those who might prefer different styles of beer.

To that end, I am reaching out for suggestions on how we can better diversify our beer selection. What are some unique styles or trending brews we might consider incorporating? Your insights and advice would be invaluable as we work to create a more inclusive and enticing menu for all beer drinkers.

If you have any specific techniques, brands, or categories you think we should explore, please share! Together, we can create a beer experience that resonates with everyone’s tastes. Cheers!
