Exploring Beer: A Beginner’s Journey in South Florida
As a burgeoning beer enthusiast in South Florida, I’m on a quest to find beers that won’t break the bank while also tantalizing my taste buds. Having dabbled in a few varieties, I feel it’s time to seek your advice on options that are both economical and enjoyable. My previous experiences have been a mixed bag, so I’m hoping you can help me refine my palate.
My Beer Experiences So Far
I’ve had the opportunity to sample some popular choices, but not all of them have impressed me:
-
Ayinger Celebrator: I found this bock beer to have a burnt flavor that didn’t sit well with me. At $16 for just four bottles, I was hoping for a more favorable experience.

-
Corona: While I can’t recall specific flavors, I remember having one of these during a night out.
-
Miller Lite: This one didn’t make a positive impression on me; it tasted a bit too diluted.
-
Founder’s Breakfast Stout: Similar to the Ayinger Celebrator, this stout presented a burnt flavor I didn’t enjoy. However, I acknowledge that my palate might still be too inexperienced at this stage.
A Taste from ALDI
From my local ALDI, I’ve tried a few unique options:
-
Independence Harbor Amber Ale: I’ve found this to be quite decent—possibly my go-to pick from ALDI during future visits!
-
Maguire’s Draught Stout: In an effort to save a few bucks, I opted for this instead of a classic Guinness. I was curious whether stouts are categorized
