The Rise of My Fictional Brewery: An Update

In July, I embarked on an unconventional journey by creating a fictitious brewery and its corresponding Instagram account, @ptbrewco. Since then, our endeavor has garnered much attention, and I believe it’s high time I share some exciting developments with you all. While on the surface, it might appear that we’ve been posting silly beer memes and outlandish brews, the reality is far more entertaining!

Noteworthy Events

Here’s a glimpse into some of the amusing incidents that have unfolded along the way:

1. We received an irate message from the individual managing Ted Cruz’s Instagram after we posted one of our more controversial creations. You can see the post that prompted the response here.

2. I engaged in a humorous skirmish with “beer influencer” @blondebrewreviews over a rather questionable photo, which can be found here.

3. To my surprise, we were officially recognized as a brewery on the Untappd platform, only to be swiftly banned shortly thereafter.

4. We crafted a fully functional taproom that users can check-in to on both Facebook and Instagram, adding another layer of allure to our venture.

5. We received a cease and desist from Unilever, the parent company of Axe, over a post that blurred the lines of satire. The laws surrounding parody and satire are truly fascinating!

6. I have valiantly defended various brewery decisions that were met with disapproval from our audience.
