I just tried Modelo Chelada.

A Taste Test Gone Awry: My Experience with Modelo Chelada

Recently, I ventured to my local 7/11, where I usually indulge in a refreshing Modelo Especial—one of the finest beers available at such convenience stores. On this particular day, however, curiosity led me to pick up a can of Modelo Chelada without fully examining what I was buying.

Let me just say: it was an experience I did not anticipate.

Upon taking my first sip, I was met with an overwhelming flavor that can only be described as… well, let’s just say it was reminiscent of an entire bowl of tomato soup. Imagine a can of Campbell’s plopped into a soda fountain, or a slice of Margherita pizza left to marinate in a puddle of summer heat. The combination was so bizarre and unexpected that I was left questioning everything—my choice, my palate, and even my decision to spring for that $3.79 can.

In the aftermath of this tasting ordeal, I find myself contemplating a humorous civil suit against the entire nation of Mexico for this unprecedented flavor experience, as well as for the emotional distress it has caused me. Clearly, this is a lesson learned: sometimes, it’s best to read the label before making a purchase!

If you’re ever tempted to try Modelo Chelada, I suggest you approach it with caution—or perhaps stick to the classic Modelo Especial that we all know and love.
