Just like I wouldn’t be labeled a “hamburger snob” for expressing a preference for gourmet burgers over fast-food options like those from McDonald’s, my appreciation for exceptional beers shouldn’t be ridiculed either.
When I choose to indulge in a high-quality brew, it’s not about elitism; it’s about enjoying the craftsmanship and flavors that are often overlooked in mass-produced beverages. My passion for beer reflects a desire for quality rather than a disdain for others’ preferences. So, the next time someone accuses you of being a “beer snob” for choosing craft over convenience, remember that seeking better options in any food or beverage realm is simply about fostering a greater connection to what we consume.
