Exploring New Brews: A Journey Into the World of Beer
As someone who has recently left the constraints of a Mormon lifestyle, I’ve decided it’s time to embark on a new adventure—trying out beer! I’m looking for casual, approachable options rather than high-end craft brews that can become a part of my regular rotation. So, I’m reaching out to gather some recommendations.
To give a bit more context, I’m based in St. George, Utah, and I’m eager to explore various flavors that beer has to offer without diving too deep into the craft beer cellar just yet.
A Weekend of Tasting
I’ve been reading through the suggestions from fellow enthusiasts and I’m excited to hit the store this weekend to pick up a few popular brands. I plan on visiting some local bars afterwards to expand my tasting experience further.
First Impressions – What I’ve Tried So Far
Not long after launching this journey, I sampled a few widely recognized beers. Here’s a quick rundown of my first tasting adventure:
- Blue Moon – Instantly became my favorite due to its smoothness and refreshing citrusy notes.
- Miller High Life – Unfortunately, it landed at the bottom of my list. It just didn’t quite resonate with my palate.
- Killian’s Irish Red – This was a pleasant surprise; it had a rich, malty flavor that I enjoyed.
I’m taking my time with this exploration and savoring each experience rather than overwhelming myself with too many choices at once. The local stores even offer a sampler pack from Uinta, which I’m keen to try once I feel confident in my beer tasting journey.
What’s Next on the Menu?
As I continue to gather suggestions, I’m excited to try out Heineken, Samuel Adams, and Wasatch Polygamy Porter, based on what I’ve heard from both you all and some friends. It’s all about compiling a list of beers available in St. George while ensuring I hear different perspectives on what to try next.
I plan on updating you all periodically with my thoughts as I progress in this exciting venture. Thank you for all your fantastic recommendations and support—it means a lot! Keep an eye out for my upcoming updates as I dive deeper into the diverse world of brews. Cheers!
